Working atmosphere
Promoting and supporting a positive working atmosphere is important to us. In addition to the working environment, we also include other areas of our employees' lives. The compatibility of these areas of life is the focus of our actions. This applies in particular to the compatibility of family and career. We accompany and support our employees in phases of their lives in which areas of life that are not directly linked to their job become particularly important. To this end, we offer our employees a wide range of individual solutions. For examples, we enable mothers to return to work after maternity leave so that they do not miss the connection on the one hand and, on the other, to maintain and strengthen valuable know-how within the company. Management positions for mothers are also supported and finished work.

Maternity and paternity leave
In addition to the mandatory maternity insurance (EO), Arbonia supplements the benefits from 14 to 16 weeks and pays 100% of the wages (depending on the length of service).
Paternity leave is regulated in accordance with the legal requirements. The entitlement of 10 days must be taken within 6 months and is compensated with the full wage.
Occupational benefits
The Arbonia Group has an attractive occupational pension plan that insures more than the statutory minimum benefits. The insured wage is calculated from the monthly salary less coordination deductions.
In the case of part-time employment, the coordination deduction is reduced in proportion to the workload.
From the age of 35, it is possible to switch to savings plan B (2% more retirement assets). This heightens the pension or lump-sum payment in old age.
On retirement, Arbonia offers individual solutions and conducts appropriate preparatory courses before the start of the 3rd phase of life.

We want our employees to be healthy and stay fit! All our employees are part of the Arbonia FITGSUND occupational health management program. We support their health throughout the year with different measures such as free water stations, fruit, participation in sporting events and miscellaneous other benefits.

At Arbonia, we place value on training and further education. Employees are supported with training leave and partial cost sharing.

Apprenticeship at Arbonia
A vocational trainer is responsible for the training of apprentices in each profession of apprenticeship, who is responsible for the quality of the training, the design of the training programs and content and is the primary contact person for the apprentices. The vocational trainer is supported by the different practical trainers, who ensure, instruct and supervise practical training in the workplace in the operational divisions.
To ensure uniform standards across all professions of apprenticeship, there are internal vocational training regulations that apply throughout Switzerland and clearly define the training processes and the rights and obligations of apprentices. This forms the base for high-quality training and a smooth drainage of the apprenticeship.
The progress of the training is planned, reviewed and evaluated on a semester-by-semester basis. Although this should not be the top priority during the apprenticeship period, we are keen to reward good performance accordingly by aligning appropriate bonuses for above-average performance in practice and at vocational school. Good performance should be rewarded!
Last but not least: the apprenticeship period is demanding, and it is important to reconcile requirements and tasks from different areas of life. This is not a simple task. We therefore endeavor to offer apprentices attractive offers outside of their everyday working life with occasional events.
People at Arbonia
Yves Siegwart, department leader project manager at RWD Schlatter AG
My time at RWD started in January 2000 as a project manager, although until then I only had experience as a joiner. I was soon promoted to project manager. I was still very young at the time and had no management experience, so this role was a big challenge for me. But I was determined to seize this opportunity. I have now been managing 20 employees for several years and have learned a lot during this time. My main tasks include managing my staff, staff and capacity planning, implementing the budget, active collaboration and support in day-to-day business and projects. Providing support between the different branches is also parts of my job. I am also the point of contact for customer complaints. Our division is the hub between all internal departments, the point of contact for all clients and responsible for the entire order. This makes the role extremely varied and exciting, but it is also always a challenge, as every order is unique. I particularly like the family culture and friendly atmosphere at RWD. The fact that I can express my creativity in my day-to-day work and am given a lot of freedom is also a big plus for me. I do my job with a lot of enthusiasm and am committed to my team as well as the company as a whole.
