Apprenticeship at Arbonia
A vocational trainer is responsible for the training of apprentices in each profession of apprenticeship, who is responsible for the quality of the training, the design of the training programs and content and is the primary contact person for the apprentices. The vocational trainer is supported by the different practical trainers, who ensure, instruct and supervise practical training in the workplace in the operational divisions.
To ensure uniform standards across all professions of apprenticeship, there are internal vocational training regulations that apply throughout Switzerland and clearly define the training processes and the rights and obligations of apprentices. This forms the base for high-quality training and a smooth drainage of the apprenticeship.
The progress of the training is planned, reviewed and evaluated on a semester-by-semester basis. Although this should not be the top priority during the apprenticeship period, we are keen to reward good performance accordingly by aligning appropriate bonuses for above-average performance in practice and at vocational school. Good performance should be rewarded!
Last but not least: the apprenticeship period is demanding, and it is important to reconcile requirements and tasks from different areas of life. This is not a simple task. We therefore endeavor to offer apprentices attractive offers outside of their everyday working life with occasional events.

The path to an apprenticeship
Which profession is right for me - which path should I take? And how do I get an apprenticeship?
Step 1
Send us your complete application base (application letter, CV and school reports).
Step 2
After a thorough control of your base, we will decide whether you will be invited for an interview or a trial apprenticeship.
Step 3
Once you have cleared the actual first hurdle, we will invite you to a taster apprenticeship lasting between one and five days. During these trial apprenticeships, we give you and us the opportunity to get to know the profession and each other better.
The 4th step
If the trial apprenticeship is also satisfactory for both parties, a final interview with the relevant vocational trainer follows. In addition to academic and professional skills, the person behind the apprenticeship is an important criterion for us and at least as important.
The 5th step
After a mutual verbal commitment, the apprenticeship contract is sent by post office. This must be signed by you and your parents. We then submit it to the Office for Job Education for drawing.
