How much dividend does Arbonia pay out and what dividend policy does Arbonia pursue?
After years of restructuring, Arbonia AG resumed dividend payments with the 2018 financial year. A dividend of CHF 0.20 per share for 2018 was followed by CHF 0.22, CHF 0.25, CHF 0.30 and CHF 0.30 for the 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 financial years respectively. This is in line with Arbonia AG's communicated dividend strategy.
When is the dividend paid out?
The dividend of Arbonia AG is paid out, as with other stock corporations, after the approval of the Annual General Meeting. The day on which the share trades ex-dividend, i.e. with a dividend discount, is the second trading day after the Annual General Meeting; the day on which the dividend is paid out is another two days later (four days after the Annual General Meeting). You can find out which day this is in the current financial year in the financial calendar.
Is the dividend payment actual tax-free for me?
The dividend is only partially tax-free for shareholders. Since the capital contribution principle was fitted, the repayment from the capital contribution only remains tax-free if other reserves are distributed to the same extent (non-tax-free). Arbonia AG has used this regulation in recent years to keep half of the distribution tax-free for domestic shareholders.
Why does Arbonia prepare its accounts in accordance with IFRS and not Swiss GAAP-FER?
Arbonia tests, in the interests of its shareholders, to provide as fair and accurate a view as possible of its (future) earnings power. This also belongs to the application of IFRS, which is the international accounting standard. A possible switch to Swiss GAAP-FER would not result in any modifications insofar as the operating business would not change as a result.
When will the next results be published?
Arbonia's financial year is congruent with the calendar year. Arbonia reports semi-annually (in late summer and at the end of winter) on the current course of business; the exact date of the next publication can be found in the financial calendar.
How do I make sure that I receive the dividend or the bases for the Annual General Meeting?
The share register of Arbonia AG, in which a shareholder must be entered in order to be entitled to vote at the General Meeting, is kept by Devigus. Entries in the share register can only be made by the respective custodian bank.
If you wish to contact the share register directly, you will find the relevant information here under "Share register".
