The new building of the campus on Albert-Einstein-Allee, equipped with over 20 modern seminar rooms and lecture halls, placed high requirements on the design and functionality of the doors.
About the project
The order included the delivery and installation of Joro XXL doors with impressive dimensions, which impressed with both their technical sophistication and their aesthetic design.
Particularly noteworthy are the double sash glass frame elements with an element height of 3,500 mm and a width of 3,400 mm. Including the transom window, the units reached an impressive total height of 4,500 mm. The single and double sash door-sets were designed as T30 RS fire protection doors with an additional smoke protection function in order to meet the high safety requirements.
An optical highlight was the flush erection of the doors on the corridor side with a shadow gap, which was realized in an inverted opening version. This combination of functionality and modern design blended seamlessly into the architecture of the campus and emphasized its innovative atmosphere.
