The new building of the campus on Albert-Einstein-Allee, equipped with over 20 modern seminar rooms and lecture halls, placed high requirements on the design and functionality of the doors.
About the project
The order involved the supply and installation of Joro XXL doors of impressive dimensions, which impressed with both their technical sophistication and their aesthetic design.
Particularly noteworthy are the double sash glass frame elements, measuring 3,500 mm in height and 3,400 mm in width. Including the transom window, the elements reached an impressive total height of 4,500 mm. The single- and double sash door-sets were designed as T30 RS fire protection doors with an additional smoke protection function to meet the high safety requirements.
An optical highlight was the flush erection of the doors on the corridor side with a shadow joint, implemented as a version that opens inversely. This combination of functionality and modern design blended seamlessly into the architecture of the campus and emphasised its innovative atmosphere.
