RWD Schlatter inaugurates new stock and logistics hall

5000 square meters for the future

It is not by chance that RWD Schlatter is Switzerland's number 1 for doors: just like ecologically valuable products, customer relationships based on partnership are crucial for RWD Schlatter.

This includes short distances. The new 5,000 square metre logistics centre, which was put into operation at the end of April 2023 at the headquarters in Roggwil, is a printing of being close to clients and serving them with short delivery times.

At the same time, the new building also offers plenty of space for a stock of standard doors, which is stocked by the German sister company Prüm. Its factory in Rhineland-Palatinate is currently being finished to become the largest door factory in Europe. Together, Arbonia's Doors Division offers a unique full range on the Swiss market with high-quality functional doors produced by RWD Schlatter and standard doors produced by Prüm. The division markets the joint specialised trade range under the Arbonia Doors brand. In doing so, it is continuously pursuing its goal of being the best partner for the specialised trade, with a wide, first-class range and delivery times that are unique in Switzerland.

The roof of the stock and logistics building is fitted with 750 photovoltaic modules, which currently cover round 25 per cent of the electricity requirements of the energy-intensive production. In the coming years, RWD Schlatter plans to install further photovoltaic assets on existing buildings.

The new building is a commitment to the Roggwil site and to Switzerland as a business location. The ground-breaking ceremony took place in spring 2022; the building work lasted just over a year. Once the new stock and logistics centre is operational, the market in the west of switzerland and the trade in German-speaking Switzerland can be supplied within five to ten days.

Another new feature is a showroom in the main building, in connection with a new training centre that can be used for employees, clients, architects or for external purposes. The hangar, showroom and training centre continue RWD Schlatter's strategy of increasing capacity and efficiency and optimising service for clients.
