Product and its function
PRIVA-LITE® is a laminated glass (according to EN 14449) produced using EVA foil.
It consists of two Diamond panes of glass with an LC film laminated between two EVA foils.
The LC film consists of two PET foils, each coated with a transparent metal layer and laminated together with a very thin layer of liquid crystal gel.
PRIVA-LITE® glass is translucent when not connected to a power source and becomes transparent when voltage is applied.
The glass system must be switched off for at least 4 hours a day.
HAZE effect (cloudiness)
In the transparent state, PRIVA-LITE® glass is never as clear as standard float glass. A slight cloudiness is always visible. This effect is normal and cannot be avoided due to the LC film.

As well as custom openings, it is also possible to perform drilling with a diameter of 10 to 50 mm in PRIVA-LITE®.
Labelling
Every PRIVA-LITE® glass pane has a unique number that enables product identification.
The internal PRIVA-LITE® label, featuring this number and the CE mark, guarantees that the glass is genuine PRIVA-LITE®. This marking is also a prerequisite for the warranty to apply.
The PRIVA-LITE® label is laminated between the glass panes and cannot be removed.
