In order to invoice the architectural concept of the existing residential building, colored lacquered block frames and the proven UniStar and FlamEx blanks from RWD Schlatter with attached profile bars were used in the public areas.
About the project
The double-acting doors with portholes, also installed in block frames, give the interior an extraordinary look reminiscent of the subjects from Charlie Chaplin's films. In the heavily stressed staff area, which is not open to the public, highly resistant and durable frame doors provide valuable services. In order to maintain the generous access from the stately staircase to the museum corridors, the fire compartment required by the authorities between these two zones is secured with an oversized wide single action door.
