In order to invoice the architectural concept of the existing residential building, coloured lacquered block frames and the tried-and-tested UniStar and FlamEx blanks from RWD Schlatter with attached profile bars were used in the public areas.

About the project

The double-acting doors with portholes, also installed in block frames, give the interior an extraordinary look reminiscent of the subjects of Charlie Chaplin's films. In the staff area, which is not open to the public and is subject to heavy stress, highly resistant and durable frame doors provide valuable services. In order to maintain the generous access from the stately staircase to the museum corridors, the fire compartment required by the authorities between these two zones is secured with an oversized wide single action door.
