The project involved the renovation of the business wing of a hotel with a capacity of 300 rooms and was completed within four weeks.
About the project
The order included the delivery and installation of 80 room entrance doors, which were designed as smoke protection doors with integrated sound insulation (Rw, P = 42 dB), as well as 12 sound-insulating technical doors with a sound insulation value of Rw, P = 37 dB.
The design of the doors was harmoniously integrated into the existing interior concept, which considered both security requirements and the directions of the monument protection authorities. All room entrance and technical doors were profiled in high-glass painting according to the historical model. Particularly noteworthy is the double sash fire protection door to the bar, which was fitted with six glass openings and star-shaped wooden mullions. Thanks to the T30 fire protection glazing, it fulfills the functionality of a fire protection door, but remains optically inconspicuous and stylish.
Another highlight was the material finish: some doors were etched in English mahogany on one side, while the opposite side was finished in high-glass painting to meet the different design requirements.
