White lacquered doors from PRÜM's ELEGANCE programme exude elegance and exclusivity. BAUWERT AG from Berlin decided to use these interior doors to fit out their new residential building.
Elegance and history at Hochmeisterplatz
Even the address of the building complex "Am Hochmeisterplatz" promises first-class quality. The complex, located on the square of the same name in the heart of Berlin, is named after the highest dignitaries of the Teutonic Order - the Grand Masters. From the outside, the building impresses with its light-coloured, classicist, prestigious style, reminiscent of the sophisticated city palaces of Paris. Inside, the foyers and flats are elegantly furnished to a particularly high standard.
The new U-shaped building on Hochmeisterplatz was constructed on the site of a former post office building according to designs by the renowned firm of Hilmer Sattler Architekten Ahlers Albrecht.
The 114 premium flats in the complex impress with their imposing neoclassical-style architecture, state-of-the-art fittings and real box seats - a view of the extensive park. Thanks to the south-facing orientation of the property, residents enjoy unobstructed views of the greenery as far as the Hochmeisterkirche church in Halensee in the north of Berlin-Wilmersdorf.

The architecture of the complex is reminiscent of the extravagant city palaces of Paris, which impress with their variedly designed, plain white façades with projections and recesses, balconies, bay windows and turquoise-coloured copper roofs. These design elements are reflected in a modern interpretation in the design by the architects. The result is a timelessly elegant façade with a touch of Parisian noblesse.
Inside, elegant foyers, furnished with busts by Berlin-based artist Robert Metzkes, create a distinctive entrance. The 2,230 mm high door units in the MODENA range, in a closed version or with a glass insert in sandblasted toughened safety glass and all-round clear edge, as an internal sliding door or double-leaf door, were fitted with a square frame (55/22) and concealed TECTUS door hinges.
In addition to the technical advantages of the concealed door hinge systems, the flush-fitting MODENA door elements create a flush and linear appearance. A perfect match with the angular milling of the cassettes and flush glazing beads.
In the PRIMO collection, the particularly light-coloured Exclusive white lacquer surface - similar to RAL 9016 - meets a two-stage cassette milling with a high-profile 3 mm V-joint. This V-joint milling runs horizontally across the entire door leaf, reflecting the special extravagance of this door collection. Matched to the PRIMO door series, two-stage PRIMO frames with a cladding width of 100 mm and a small round edge were used.
The "Am Hochmeisterplatz" living concept features various model versions of the PRIMO series: PRIMO white lacquered doors with a light cut-out, as a closed version or sliding doors that run in the wall, as well as double doors. The flush glazing beads and the elegant satinised glass design with all-round clear edge are the special features of the light cut-out variants. Here, a vestibule element with an all-glass door in clear float creates a dignified entrance for the special living spaces.
In addition to the design benefits, all white lacquer doors are equipped with dimensionally stable Kerto stabilisers and three-part hinges. They comply with climate class 2, which ensures that they can withstand temperature differences and guarantee the dimensional stability of the doors.
