The houseplant is back: in a pot or on the wall

Living in your own jungle - houseplants are back in fashion. However, greenery not only cuts a great figure when potted, but also sets trendy accents in interior design as printed wallpaper. Both variants create a natural feeling in the room. We reveal which doors suit the urban jungle style here.

Beautiful for the eye and soul

Houseplants have conquered German homes again. Not only do they look beautiful, they are also good for our well-being. Some purify the air and others have a calming effect simply by their presence. It has even been scientifically proven that plants make you happy.

Max Kovacs, trained gardener and indoor greenery specialist at effektivgrün, explains: "Many people have a longing for nature. Most city dwellers at least find it difficult to satisfy this longing. Surrounding yourself with plants and greenery fills this gap and is fuelling trends such as urban gardening, urban beekeeping and guerrilla gardening. Large-leaved plants such as Livistonia, Monstera, Philodendron Imperial Green or Ficus lyrata create the right jungle feeling in the living room. But flowering plants such as Anthurium or Strelitzia also look great here."

Plants in office furnishings are also an advantage for companies: "The rooms look fresher and livelier thanks to vital greenery. This is also good for the psyche of the people who work there. Plants reduce stress and revitalise the office atmosphere."

Especially in the current coronavirus times, when we are spending a lot of time at home and in the home office, houseplants are welcome neighbours that create a greater sense of well-being within our own four walls. The Monstera Deliciosa in particular has become a top seller here. It is very decorative in a pot and has also made it onto textile and decorative items as a motif.

Jungle backdrop with plant wallpapers

Wallpapers with plant motifs also turn your own home into an indoor garden. The high-resolution printed photo wallpapers look real and vibrant. More delicate, illustrated plant worlds also look natural and invigorating in the room concept with lighter colour tones. The choice is large and the possibilities varied, as these design examples from Komar show.

This is where CPL doors come into play: the hard-wearing doors are not only scratch, impact and abrasion resistant, but also look great. An innovative printing process is used to create natural veneer reproductions with a tangible real wood character. Whether pine or oak: these doors impress with an amazingly real wood feel. They blend in perfectly with the natural room climate and cut a fine figure in your own home jungle.
