Expertise directly from the door manufacturer: what you can expect

Professional tips directly from the door manufacturer? We have made it our mission to explain the basics of interior door elements in clear webinars. What's special: The videos are available at any time and free of charge. Here you can find out what content you can look forward to, which experts are behind the webinars and what it looks like behind the scenes.

Sophie Reese, sales expert, and Michael Wallendorf, training manager at door manufacturer GARANT, get to the heart of the matter in short videos. They present complex basic content and facts in an easy-to-understand way. In a five-part webinar series on door knowledge for beginners, they explain the general and brand-specific features of interior doors.

The webinar duo know their way around doors and speak from many years of experience. In their webinars, Sophie Reese and Michael Wallendorf pass on their valuable practical tips directly to you. For example, you will learn how the direction of rotation of a door can be easily determined, what particularly characterises door surfaces or why a certain minimum level of quality standards is important for the construction and durability of the door for some components.

These topics are currently on offer:

  • Standard doors: How is a standard door constructed? And what are its most important features?
  • Structure of a door: What does a door look like from the inside? And what makes it so special from the outside?
  • Surfaces and edges: What door surfaces are there? And what are the differences between the individual door edges?
  • Locks and fittings: What different locks are there and what functions do they and the corresponding hinges fulfil?
Frames: What components does a frame consist of? And how do frames and doors actually fit together?

Part of the webinar programme

Our team explains simple installation methods for standard doors in an exciting video. Of course, there are also practical tips for your day-to-day work.

The new webinar on how to use the interactive Point of Experience (POE) consultation tool is also of particular interest. The "POE" takes door advice in the specialised trade to a whole new level. Even the most high-quality specialist dealer exhibition can no longer present all the product combinations of a door. This is exactly where "POE" comes in. The door tool provides access to over 1 million door combinations and stands for highly professional product visualisation on a scale of 1:1, with impressive 4K image quality and ergonomic control via a touchscreen. The door is visualised in its original size on a 98-inch monitor. This is how the door manufacturer transfers the analogue exhibition into the digital world.
