Wood look & black: modern door trend for stylish living spaces
Hotels, restaurants and large flagship stores are often pioneers and set trends in interior design. The combination of wood tones and black is currently setting impressive visual accents in rooms in both traditional buildings and young formats. This elegant combination of natural-looking surfaces with matt black tones is also increasingly defining private homes. Interior doors in a wood look with black details, fittings and frames are also popular design elements here. We are picking up on this trend and presenting the new CPL Touch wild oak surface in our range of surfaces and showing how matt black details complement the elegant look.
The variety of modern CPL surfaces
The ‘Wild Oak’ surface, in particular, offers a timelessly modern look for interior doors. The natural grain and honey-coloured tone perfectly capture the tree’s characteristic wood features. We are expanding our CPL range to include further modern, tactile surfaces – Pearlline, Silvaline and Darkline – available with premium edging. Thanks to their tactile wood grain, they look very natural, yet are characterised by exceptional durability. Combined with black lesenes, black fittings and a black casing, these surfaces become a cohesive design feature.
Innovative design and smart functions: Black fittings in cooperation with GRIFFWERK
As part of a cooperation with the fittings specialist GRIFFWERK, we offer an extensive range of black fittings. In addition to the matt black colouring, modern design and non-slip feel, the new fittings score points with innovative features such as smart2lock. This locking mechanism integrated into the handle locks the door with just one click. As a design element, the fittings are important components for the overall impression of the door.
