Arbonia Next25 was 11 days of events, congresses, network meetings, training, keynotes and after-work parties for more than 2,000 visits from the property industry. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the success of this very special event:
Arbonia says thank you!
Thank you for your time, your input, the good questions and answers, your interest, the exchange and the lively participation in discussions. With Arbonia Next25, we have created a format that provides an exclusive frame away from the large trade fairs, which we believe is more appropriate for the property business. Thanks to you, this format has become a success.
Special thanks go to all the keynote speakers and panellists who enriched the event enormously with their knowledge. We would also like to thank those who made this event possible, organised it and made it look so good.

Program & Highlights
Next25 program
Arbonia Next25 was never intended to be purely a product exhibition. Of course, we also wanted to showcase the innovative power of our brands' products. But we wanted more: to create a platform for the construction and architecture industry that is about nothing less than the future of construction. These were our themes:
17.03. - Property development
The first day of Next25 was immediately characterised by a large and very important topic: Property development. How do you create a profitable property on an estate? And how do you sensibly weigh up factors such as economy, architectural standards and external, including political, influences? Keynote speakers and panellists were:
- Andreas Göppel (Managing Director, Heinze)
- Lars Bay-Smidt (CEO, Birch Ejendomme)
- Udo Jungebloed (Head of Contract Sales, Arbonia)
- Elmar-Patrick Bullmann-Schultheis (Dipl.-Ing., Architect, Director Currie & Brown)
18.03. - Requirements for large projects
Large-scale projects place very specific and highly complex requirements on the planning, logistics and cooperation of all trades. Our second day therefore focussed on precision, structure and the seamless interlocking of different processes during construction. These were our keynote speakers and panellists:
- Ingo Rißmann (Managing Director Doorplan)
- Philipp Deutsch (Partner Conbene Improvement)
- Andre Borgstedt (Property Sales Arbonia)
- Elmar-Patrick Bullmann-Schultheis (graduate engineer, architect, Director Currie & Brown)
19.03. - Design and function
Does form always follow function? Or can interior and bathroom doors with high functional requirements such as fire, sound or burglary protection also impress with their form? On the third day of Next25, we will be focussing on design and function. These were our keynote speakers and panellists:
- Dominik Tesseraux (owner tesseraux+partner)
- Hendrik Board (architect, author, curator of THE LINK)
- Markus Hütt (member of the Arbonia Group Executive Board)
20.03. - Serviced Apartments
For us and our individual brands, cooperation is an enormously important quality. That's why we gave the stage to the established SO!APART event series on the fourth day, which brought current market figures, conversion, micro-apartment and neighbourhood topics and much more to the serviced flat industry. These were the keynote speakers and panellists:
- Anett Gregorius (founder and owner of Apartmentservice)
- Paul Schmidt (architect, Schmidt Architekten und Planungsgesellschaft)
- Dr Patrick Bergmann (Managing Director, Madaster)
- Bernd Mensing (CEO MASEVEN Management)
- Klaus Engelbrecht-Schnür (Managing Partner, Projektwerke Hamburg)
- Claudius Moor (CEO Arbonia)
- Udo Jungebloed (Head of Property Sales, Arbonia)
- Karsten Nölling (Managing Director, KIWI)
- Prof Dr Clemens Engelhardt (Lawyer, Partner and Professor trustberg)
- Kathrin Pabst (Project Manager Tourism and Hotel Investments Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft Thüringen)
- Alica Götz (Project and Contract Manager Häfele)
- Jan Louis Metzmeier (Development Manager MM:NT)
- Helmut Dörfer (owner Dörfer Grohnmeier Architekten Partnerschaft)
- Christian Ulf Reschke (Member of the SWISSFEEL direction)
- Ralf Krause (Managing Partner ADAPT Apartments)
21.03. - Architecture / BDA Architecture Talk
What solutions do architects have to the challenges of our time? And above all: how do young architects approach the lack of resources, sustainable construction and the necessary transformation of the construction sector? We will be discussing these questions together with the BDA on the fifth day of Next25. These were our keynote speakers and panellists:
- Prof Tobias Wulf (Managing Partner wulf architekten)
- Carolin Chipper (architect and interior designer, Atelier Cambium)
- Dr Thomas Welter (Federal Managing Director of the Association of German Architects)
- Lina Maria Mentrup (Architect, BDA)
- Stephanie Bücker (architect, MS Plus Architekten)
- Thomas Laubert (owner and partner, Architekturstudio Mitte)
- Julia Krafft (Freelance Architect and Managing Partner ZIRKULAAR Architektur)
- Lucas Klinkenbusch (Freelance architect and Managing Partner ZIRKULAAR Architecture)
24.03. - Door and access systems for the housing industry
Digital access management is the future - even in the private sector. For the housing industry, this future has long since started. This is because the benefits of digital locking technology are becoming very tangible in monetary and administrative terms. On this day, representatives from the housing industry and our subsidiary KIWI will discuss how digital access systems are used, how they can be efficiently built in and how digitalisation is finding its way into the housing industry. Keynote speakers and panellists were:
- Udo Petzoldt (Managing Director and Chairman of Baugenossenschaft Kulmbach)
- Juliane Starck (Head of Operations Team KIWI)
- Karsten Nölling (Managing Director KIWI)
- Iris Jachertz (Editor-in-Chief, DW Die Wohnungswirtschaft)
- Dr Henri Lüdeke (Managing Director, WBV/WVS Coswig)

- Ulrike Bettge (Managing Director of Apleona Property Services)
- Karsten Nölling (Managing Director KIWI)
25 March - Women's Day - Misses in the construction industry
Misses account for only around 10 per cent of employees subject to social insurance contributions in the German building trade. It is very important to us that this changes as soon as possible. On this day, we discussed what is needed to achieve this, how thickness networks can be created and how to survive as a Miss in a male-dominated environment. Our keynote speakers and panellists were:
- Charlène Steck (SPIEGEL bestselling author)
- Josepha Schmidt (TUM graduate in architecture)
- Anna Thalhofer (Head of Group Communications and Marketing, Thalhofer Group)
- Larissa Kuntz (Managing Director, elka-Holzwerke)
- Natascha Beil (Key Account Manager, Arbonia)
- Fabienne Zürcher (Head of Communications and Investor Relations, Arbonia)
26.03. - Trends in design, colour, living and life
Our products are naturally aligned with the needs of consumers. But first and foremost, we always make an offer to interior architects and designers. After all, they are the ones who set the trends. What these trends will look like in the future, how sustainability and design freedom go hand in hand and our close cooperation with COLORNETWORK will be the focus of this day. Keynote speakers and panellists were:
- Prof Dr Anabel Ternès von Hattburg (futurologist, CEO SRH Institute for Innovation and Sustainability BrightShift Media Group)
- Katrin de Louw (Managing Director of TRENDFILTER, initiator of COLORNETWORK)
- Dr Oliver Herwig (journalist, moderator, design expert)
- Udo Roggendorf (Head of Marketing, Arbonia)
- Leo Lübke (Manager COR Sitzmöbel, President of the German Furniture Industry Association)
27.03. - Building in the future
On this day, we discussed nothing less than the future of building with guests such as Max Dudler and Jürgen Mayer H. Our media partner Heinze filmed the entire day and prepared it as a livestream. All keynotes and discussions can be found here:
28.03. - Sustainability
Sustainability is the most pressing issue of our time. As a producer and part of the construction industry, we are very aware of our responsibility here. What we and other companies are doing to offer lower-emission, resource-saving products was the topic of our last day. The best and most important things always come at the end. These keynote speakers and panellists were there:
- Steffen Erath (Head of Innovation and Sustainability, Hansgrohe Group)
- Olaf Rützel (Managing Director of Der Holzring)
- Dr Esther Greenwood (Project Manager, KREIS-Haus)
- Marco Müller (Ladder Development and Product Management, Arbonia)
- Sarah Beylschmidt (Sustainability and Quality Manager, Carl Götz)
- Dagmar Fritz-Kramer (Managing Director, Baufritz)
